shaderMeister
Short: Allows overrides to the shading of surfaces.
Cost: Commercial Application: Layout
Platforms: IntelMac
URL: http://www.db-w.com/content/view/126/116/
Detail-(usually from author's website):
"shaderMeister allows you to override the shading of surface on a scene by scene basis. This is accomplished by a shader plugin that needs to be applied to all surfaces that should be overridden by shaderMeister. When rendering the shader plugin will detect if a shaderMeister global shading network is present and then evaluate it. The shaderMeister global shading network itself is saved with the scene. A master handler plugin manages it. Once you have applied the shader to all surfaces in your current scene (which only needs to happen once and is automated by shaderMeister) you can thus override the surfacing on a scene by scene basis."

This plug-in absolutely rocks. Forget doing ambient occlusion using OccII with it. Instead however try using a color node piped into color override with radiosity in your scene instead if you absolutely must have "white" occlusion passes. The color node will override the RGB final render result with white but keep the effect of the radiosity in those 'occluded' areas. Depending on your settings you can get it to run at least 10 times faster than using OccII plugged into global override, and it will look 100 times better. Awesome plug-in from db&w! And don't forget to buy exrTrader while you are picking up ShaderMeister. If you are not using exrTrader and exr for your rendering, you are braindamaged.
